Arts Fishing Club | Joe George (Alternative Folk) $8

Thursday, November 15, 2018 @ 8:00 pm - 10:00 pm

A child of the northwoods of Wisconsin, Christopher Kessenich found inspiration in the name Arts Fishing Club from his grandfathers’ (both named Art) collective philosophy on fishing. They taught him to cast every day with the fullest intention of landing a big fish yet to always remember that a day of fishing is not measured by what is caught but rather by the quality of the time spent with the people in the boat.

The band (Peter Eddins, Jimi Greene, Matt Siffert, and Christopher Kessenich focuses on excellence in what they do together during their live shows sharing that with the audience. They have toured extensively over the past two years honing in a unique acoustic rock sound that is “part folk, part rock, part country, and all energy!” They’ve played notable festivals Summerfest, Mile of Music, Philly Folk Fest, and showcased at the Newport Folk Fest and SXSW.

The Joe George debut solo record, self-titled ‘Joe George,’ is filled with lush colors and patient space. It is a collection of thoughtful, empathetic songs that deal with reflection, conflict, and simple wonder.

The record has been signed to German label, Eternal Sound Records, and is scheduled for European release in November of 2018. Tour to follow.

Joe, also known as the face of Reverb.com, studied music composition and film scoring at Berklee College of Music. These skills have allowed Joe to fully realize his arrangements, which sometimes are graced with a string quartet.

For 2018, Joe George will be releasing a new single, with a video, every month. This project is an effort to bring people together through art and collaboration. Each single release will be worked out with different producers, film makers, visual artists, and musicians.
