Queen Drea creates conceptual soundscapes. By applying a poetic and often metaphorical language to her lyrics and compositions, she tries to approach a wide scale of subjects in a multi-layered way and likes to involve the audience in conversation as they accompany her on her musical journey. Her performances directly respond to the surrounding environment and uses everyday experiences from the artist as a starting point. Often these are framed instances that would go unnoticed in their original context. With a conceptual approach, her work references love, pain, politics and the human experience.
Taylor Seaberg is an African American multi-instrumentalist with a passion for music in digital, electric, and acoustic realms. Taylor is a current 2016-2017 Intermedia Arts Spoken Word Verve Grant recipient and multi-instrumentalist/founder of alt jazz, neo soul, hip hop collective, Seaberg, with players Jay Weiler (drums), Logan Mehr (keys), Matt Trice (saxophone), and Justin Halverson (bass). When not performing with their band, Taylor, can be found solo playing with a loop station pedal and an electric guitar.
Renée Copeland is co-founder of the dance/performance art duo, Hiponymous, a collaborator in the hip-hop based dance collective, BRKFST, and a proud member of Ananya Dance Theatre. She is also a poet, musician, and singer-songwriter. She combines her passions to produce soundscapes for live dance performances as well as performing her soul/folk sound solo and within Twin Cities musical collaborations.
