WILKINSON JAMES got started back in the fall of 2008, when Liz Wilkinson and AJ Scheiber met up and started singing their songs together in coffee shops and other venues around town. Now, 10 years down the road, that duo has grown into a full band that adds touches of jazz, swing, and torch to Liz and AJ’s folk-and-country twang and striking original tunes. With two well-received records and hundreds of performances under their belts, the band is celebrating this 10-year milestone with a special “anniversary show” at the Aster. They’ll perform two full sets of tunes both old and new, and will be joined by some guests (including Erik Brandt of the Urban Hillbilly Quartet) who will help them bring the joy.
