Cassandra Cole + Space Hug $10

Saturday, August 21 @ 9:00 pm - 11:00 pm

Indie-pop songwriter Cassandra Cole, commands the stage. City Pages describes her sound as being borrowed “stylistically from singer-songwriters like Annie Lennox, Tori Amos, and even Janet Jackson.”-Erica Rivera. Forging her path as a songwriter since the age of six, she has evolved into an accomplished vocalist, songwriter and performer. Indenting our television screens and radio transmissions with appearances on Showtime at the Apollo, Minnisingers, and recognizable commercials; Cole is painting the airways with her prismatic flare. Growing up in California and moving from Massachusetts to the Twin Cities, her songwriting is an eclectic blend of raw energetic passion and modern edge.

Space Hug is a creative concoction, mixing the quirky talents of songwriter, Erik Newman, and vocalist, Adrianne Prettyman. Their sound is a sonic blend of driving guitar riffs, sensual vocals and innovative keyboard countermelodies. Lyrics cover a broad range of topics from the personal to social commentary. Born in the COVID era – where people must hug at a distance – Space Hug has begun their journey to bring beauty and meaning to the strange times we live in. Just as Adrianne and Erik’s friendship grew into love, they hope your interest in their music will also. Catch a ride and enjoy a safe embrace.
