Charlie Van Stee is the singer and songwriter from Minneapolis based band VAN STEE. Having released their sophomore album “Heartbreaker Nervewrecker Meansucker” in 2018, Charlie turned to playing new original solo material as well as reimagined songs from the VAN STEE catalog in a more stripped down setting interspersed with songs that helped shape him as a songwriter. Having hustled both locally and abroad for over a decade, members of the Minneapolis psych-folk band, Val Son are no strangers to the Twin Cities music scene. Comprised of Michael Gunvalson, Emily Mohrbacher, Eric Carlson, and Jordan Taylor, the group creates dark and moody arrangements, which lyrically explore themes of existential dread and the use of music as an instrument for change in an increasingly violent and complex world.
