Chris Holm is a country blues musician based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. A fingerstyle guitar picker and harmonica player, Chris channels the high-spirited liveliness of Charley Patton, attacking his guitar strings with abandon, and shouting along in a gravelly howl, later to channel Blind Willie Johnson on the lonesome sounds of a weeping slide guitar and Jimmie Rodgers on a blue yodel.
Elour (pronounced “allure”) is what Elizabeth Ghandour categorizes as Femm Rock. Elizabeth’s direct lyrics, diverse background and uniquely trained voice, combined with Ryan Vee’s creative drumming, yield a sound that’s both stylish and vibrant. While the lyrics take a thoughtful look at feminine experience, the performances are energetic and fun, at times even playful.
