Nate Amor has been a fixture in the twin cities music scene since his debut album in 2001, Long Five Days. However, his name was Nathan Anderson (or the Nathan Anderson Project) back then (more on the name change later). Since the first album there’s been 3 more albums, several singles, and Nate’s been seen on NBC’s The Voice. These albums and experiences have shaped Nate’s sound and direction as a singer/songwriter.

Nate’s desire to be a singer/songwriter started after his mother got him “Sing Like The King” karaoke music for their karaoke machine when he was just 16. He practiced up and sang “In The Ghetto” at the High School talent show, winning first place. Hundreds of his peers out in the audience and singing “Like The King”, he I knew that’s what he wanted to do as a career (minus the “Like The King” part).

After going through several devastating losses in life from 2014-2017. Nate experienced what felt like a death of the old self and a rebirth all surrounding love. Hence the name Amor. Origin and Etymology of amor Latin, from amare = to love. That’s it, it may sound quite hippy, but that’s what Nate Amor’s music is today. It’s Beach Boys meets Coldplay meets Chris Stapleton, with 1950s Rock N Roll and R&B influences.
