Space Ambulance is the improvisational collaboration between guitarist Nick Baker (Maria & the Coins, Yarp, Fragile Canyons), drummer Ryan Barrett (Lazy Scorsese, Space Hug), and bassist Matt Beachey (Slow Clarity, Cassini, Oscar Tengo). The trio formed in the winter of 2019 with the goal of creating fluidly improvised music that draws from modal jazz and classic psychedelic rock. Space Ambulance performs without any preconceived ideas in order to fully access the present moment.

Rafta is the Twin Cities’ newest East-West fusion / psychedelic rock / Indian-Pakistani tabla-full-kit-piano-electric-guitar trio. Comprised of Dishant Thakkar, Danish Mahmood, and Zaq Baker, the new ensemble have recently expanded into a quartet marshaling Indian classical and Bollywood vocal influences to bring American and English Top 40 music to light.
