Brittany Lee Moffitt | M French (Indie Rock/Folk) $5
Tuesday, June 26 @ 8:00 pm - 10:00 pm
Brittany Lee Moffitt is a songwriter from the Midwest with a captivating, powerful, soul-piercing voice. Moffitt’s current EP, “Acceptance” (December 2014), is a wild rollercoaster ride into uninhibited self-examination, tackling anxieties about trust, spiritual growth, and recovery from alcoholism, with vocals that aim for the rafters, manic and serene. Artists like Kimbra, Regina Spektor, or Bjork come to mind, but Moffitt’s sheer energy and sweeping emotional delivery transcend boxing her in solely with other female artists (Jeff Buckley or Mike Patton are also worthy touchstones). Moffitt’s musical influences are as worldly as her experience as a touring artist – having performed in Mexico, Canada, and Germany, with upcoming performances in Hawaii and California. Moffitt is currently working on her first full-length debut, set for release in Summer 2018 (details TBA), followed by a U.S. tour through the summer in to the fall.
Nashville influenced singer-songwriter M French’s music and lyrics catch at the strings of hope hidden within heartache. Guitar in hand, coffee cup nearby; the melody transports and the words tell a story. Our story. A human story. Matthew’s audiences feel themselves reflected in the warmth of his voice. Not strangers, just unmet friends.
