Aaron Tinjum and the Tangents w/ The Eclectics $10
Friday, December 30, 2022 @ 9:00 pm - 11:00 pm
Aaron Tinjum is a Minnesota-based songwriter.
He formed his folk rock project, Aaron Tinjum and the Tangents, while playing the many coffeehouses, dive bars, used clothing stores and furniture shops of the Live Music Capital of the World, Austin, Texas. In 2012, they released their debut Mirrors in the Dark and were honored by the Austin Mayor and City Council with their own official band holiday.
After a stint in Washington, D.C. and the release of Foreign & Domestic in 2016, Tinjum returned home to Minnesota to begin work on his next album. With the newly re-formed Tangents, he recorded his third and latest release Zinger at Sovereignty Recording in Minneapolis. The latest entry in Tinjum’s catalogue is arguably his best and most mature songwriting to date, with songs exploring the topics of aging and expectations.
The group has opened for a number of national touring acts, including Sam Amidon, James McCartney, Reeve Carney and Kawehi.

Special Guest The Eclectics
The Eclectics began during the throes of the pandemic. Bassist John Bergquist and banjoist Phil Nusbaum realized that they could work together by passing musical selections back and forth over the internet and recording their parts at home. The result was promising enough that when people started congregating again, John and Phil got together with fiddler Nick Martin to form a trio. Because of their broad musical interests, the trio adopted the name Eclectics. Eclectic is a good name for a group that relishes good old bluegrass, as well as the envelope-pushing originals Phil writes and a few rollicking fiddle tunes.

Nick Martin, fiddle and vocals
