Adam Levy with Ralph Colvert & Jennie Lawless (of Warehouse Eyes)

Friday, July 1, 2016 @ 9:00 pm - 11:00 pm

$10

Adam Levy has been called a ‘Great American Songwriter’ by music critics & fans. He has led the Minneapolis-based roots rock band The Honeydogs for 20 years. Levy has also explored varied musical styles (experimental, orchestral, children’s music, jazz) in a number of different projects. He lost his son in 2012 to suicide, and recently released a record about his son’s death and struggle with mental illness called Naubinway.

Ralph Convertible SS

Ralph Covert and his band The Bad Examples have been a staple of the Chicago scene since their heyday in the early ’90’s, when their song Not Dead Yet was burning up the airwaves on Chicago’s WXRT and on radio stations from coast to coast in America and across the ocean in Holland. Ralph has toured from LA to New York to Amsterdam, and played shows with bands including Los Lobos, Squeeze, Del Amitri, Steppenwolf, Wilco, The Lemonheads, Golden Earring, and BB King. With his family music project Ralph’s World, he has received a GRAMMY nomination, been on the front page of the New York Times Arts Section, and tours nationally, bringing his music to a new generation. He continues to release music reflecting all facets of his creative output.

Jenny Lawless 2016

Jennie Lawless is a writer of sweet and sometimes lonely electronic pop songs. Best known as the front woman of the band Warehouse Eyes, Lawless brings a potentially unexpected background to her songwriting. Her transformation as an artist has been bewildering, moving from writing clumsy folk songs, to winning jazz competitions, to eventually studying opera in Vienna, Austria. Now a classically trained musician, Lawless has decided to throw all of her education in the trash and return to her clumsy folk songs with a new edge. She might finally be making the music she wanted to make all along.
