Cassandra Cole Single Release Celebration w/Jennifer Marie $15

Saturday, September 28 @ 9:00 pm - 11:00 pm

Californian turned Minnesotan, Cassandra Cole is a Twin Cities-based singer-songwriter and performer, crafting her own unique blend of Midwestern alternative soul. Drawing inspiration and influence from iconic songwriters Fiona Apple, Haley Bonar, and Phoebe Bridgers. Cole’s music dives deep into the trials and tribulations of her life – highlighting themes of love, mental health, and perseverance, and conveying an intimate sense of hope, strength, and bravery. With these lyrical tropes and powerful vocals at the forefront, Cole’s band provides the perfect backdrop – whether it’s a delicate ballad or hard-hitting anthem.

In her latest release, Steps, she writes about the human experience, diving into some heavy subjects in Cole’s life, including years of depression, anxiety, heartache, and how she has found her own way through it all by being grounded in faith. Cassandra’s songwriting is a blend of raw energetic passion with an eclectic modern edge. Her sound is a reflection of her own experiences and stylistic inspirations like “…Annie Lennox, Tori Amos, and even Janet Jackson.”- Erica Rivera, City Pages

In recent years, Cassandra Cole has performed at a variety of festivals and events across the Midwest, including Big Turn Music Festival, The Mall of America, and Rivertown Fall Art Festival. Looking ahead, Cole plans to continue building her presence in Twin Cities and beyond, sharing her powerful yet heartfelt songs with communities in need, knowing full well that we could all use the positive, inspirational and influential messages that are imperative to the underlying essence of her music.

Cassandra Cole’s new single called, “Wednesdays” is a fresh and uptempo tune reflecting the desires of the heart to be wanted. With its sassy undertones and vibrant musicianship, Cole’s sultry vocals melt into the pulse of this tune. Coming off of the release of her debut album, “Steps,” this much anticipated song is set to hit the airwaves on September, 18th.

Jennifer Marie shares, “I have been a songwriter most of my life, but as we all know, life can pull us in directions we weren’t expecting. After 11 years of burying a dream in my heart, I sat alone by a fire at a cabin back in the fall of 2020 and knew with great assurance that now was the time for my dreams to come into reality in a fresh and powerful way. Returning to a calling on my life: to go back to my love of writing music after several years of walking in the wilderness of life. It’s my mission to remind others that you are never too late and never too far gone to start over.”

As Jennifer Marie keeps moving forward in her calling, live audiences and online followers alike are joining her on the journey and embracing her heartfelt musical expressions.

When words fail, music speaks, and Jennifer Marie writes music in a way that connects us all.
