In 1985, Twin Cities percussionist Steve Jennings graduated from Luther College with his friend and classmate, vocalist Lynne Rothrock. Lynne accepted a job teaching music at St. Bernard’s high school in St. Paul, where one of her favorite students was a budding musician named Dan Schwartz. Eventually Dan became a professional guitarist in the Twin Cities, played some gigs with Steve and discovered their mutual connection to Lynne. Many years, miles and musical experiences later – the three of them will reunite at the Aster Cafe to celebrate the connections that took root all those years ago. Expect to hear a bit of what makes them each unique artists and also what kind of collaboration can take shape from decades of connectedness. They will be joined by Joe Savage (pedal steel), Doan Roessler (bass) & Lynne’s husband, IA Blues Hall of Fame guitarist Ron DeWitte.
