David Harland + Anne Deming $10
Sunday, October 30, 2022 @ 8:00 pm - 10:00 pm
David Harland has felt the pull of music all of his life. His music has been described as innovative, introspective and expressive. David is a fingerstyle guitarist and singer/songwriter in the tradition of great innovators like Michael Hedges, Nick Drake, David Wilcox and Billy McLaughlin.
David’s musical journey began at the age of 5 when he was gifted a plastic acoustic guitar for Christmas. This seemingly simple gift sparked a lifelong connection with guitar and songwriting. By age 14 David was playing bass guitar, singing and writing songs in a local rock band.
“Truly beautiful… I could listen to this for hours… Serenity”.
-Radio Airplay Internet Radio
During his “rock band” days David discovered his love for the craft of songwriting and melody. It was around this time that he began playing a lot more acoustic guitar and found it to be the perfect compliment to his evolving songwriting style. It wasn’t long before he became completely enamored with acoustic guitar music. He was introduced to artists like David Wilcox, Billy McLaughlin and Michael Hedges. Seeing and hearing the way these artists played completely changed his perception of what was possible with just a singular acoustic guitar.
“ Smooth – relaxing – like watching waves at the beach with a thunderstorm brewing in the background” -Michael Jeris, Guitar Review
Soon David was prolifically writing guitar music, integrating his love of melody and heartfelt emotion. Listening to his music and virtuosic guitar playing will carry you to a place of hope, optimism and introspection. You could say David’s music is a prescription for the soul.

With special guest Anne Deming
Singer/songwriter Anne Deming is a Midwest native with a seductive and soulful voice. Deming writes her own music and lyrics, allowing her personal story to truly shine in each album. Her music includes joy, humor, and heartbreak. Although she has an impressive library of recorded music from her two decades of performance, it is truly magical to see her perform live. She loves interacting with an audience and creating an intimate place where performing and listening create a relationship that will stay with you long after a show has ended. Her music spans country, rock, blues and folk and her voice has been poetically praised as “moving gracefully through bluesy growls to clear tender passages”.
Her past albums – Beautifully Scarred, Mulligan and the Riverrock Sessions – all showcase her stunning voice and impressive skill on the guitar. Dash & Temper, released in the fall of 2018 brings us even more insight into the masterful storytelling of this true artist.
