HebbaJebba + Jim Walsh $12
Sunday, July 16 @ 8:00 pm - 10:00 pm

HebbaJebba was born out of Minneapolis singer-songwriter Ted Hajnasiewicz’s desire to put his songs into more of a rock and roll band format. Rounded out with dear old friends and local rock veterans Paul Gordhamer (drums), Mark Ganje (guitars) and Tom Carlon (bass), HebbaJebba is – well, slightly easier to pronounce than “Hajnasiewicz”, no? Come celebrate the 1 year anniversary of their debut album.
Jim Walsh is a singer and songwriter from Minneapolis who, as an author and journalist, has chronicled the Minnesota music scene with passion, smarts, and an open heart and mind–much like his singing and songs. A passionate champion of original songs and songwriters, Walsh is the former leader of the bands REMs, Laughing Stock, and the Mad Ripple, and the ringleader/host/songwriter behind The Mad Ripple Hootenanny, the magical original songwriter showcase that ran for 15 years weekly in Minneapolis and beyond.
These days, Walsh and his pals in Jim Walsh & The Dog Day Cicadas make for a passionate on-stage bunch who love to be together and fight the power and let it rock. They’ve released three recordings, “Songs For The Band To Learn,” “Folk Song For George Floyd (Minneapolis Weeps),” and “Shout It Out To You” and have their roots in all the great songwriter-fronted bands since the beginning of time.
Said Jim: “I love closing my eyes, tilting my head back and singing to an empty or packed room, connecting with the good listeners, you and me and the universe all at once. The world is on fire, and I’m happy to be doing everything I can to make it better through songs and stories.”
