After a number of years fronting Minneapolis alt-country/Americana band Western Fifth, Ryan Holweger started playing songs under his own name in 2012. For the past few years he’s been splitting his time between Minnesota and Bangkok, playing shows as both a solo acoustic act and with a full backing band. He’s opened for a number of international touring acts, including Richard Buckner, Damien Jurado, Centro-Matic, St Paul & The Broken Bones, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, and Sam Outlaw. Ryan is currently working on a new album with producer Mark Stockert (Brian Setzer, The Waifs, Tom Feldmen, etc.) at Underwood Recording. “Gunmetal Sky” is set to be released in November 2018.
