Katy Tessman soars to new heights with her eagerly awaited album, “Fly,” marking her return to songwriting and performing after a twenty-year hiatus. The album weaves a tapestry of uplifting melodies and heartfelt ballads, resonating with themes of self-discovery and resilience.

Joined by her band, Katy Tessman and the Turnbuckles will perform a celebration concert with support by Nikki Lemire and RainTribe.

Using the wisdom she’s gained through breast cancer survival, heartbreak, and motherhood, Tessman’s songwriting helps her celebrate life’s stumbles and summits. Based in Minneapolis, Katy is also an award-winning children’s book author, celebrated as a CHANGEMAKER by Minnesota Women’s Press. Stories and songs truly heal and Tessman’s aim is to evoke laughter and tears, spread smiles, and foster a sense of hope and togetherness.

Nikki Lemire is a classical harpist by trade. Unveiling a new and original sound employing loop and electric guitar pedal board effects, she started writing on her Lyon and Healy pedal harp during the pandemic. With modern harp effects and textures, her songs sit somewhere between the folk stylings of Joan Baez, the musical innovation of Joni, and the minimalism of Philip Glass.

Brothers, Michael & Kurt Koppelman are the force behind raintribe. Born in the 90s Minneapolis music scene, now reimagined with a new cast of players. Songwriter, Michael Koppelman is known to get to the root of fragile emotions flawlessly with poetic lyrics and magnetic melodies. Recently, raintribe has been part of the annual Lutsong Music Festival as well as performing at various venues throughout the Twin Cities.
