It is a tribute to everyone who has overcome hardships – whether it be a health emergency, an addiction battle, or coping with anxiety, depression, or grief. Life can challenge us with these and many other painful experiences. You don’t have to have slayed the dragon to be a hero. Nikki Lemire is a classical harpist by trade. Unveiling a new and original sound employing loop and electric guitar pedal board effects, she started writing on her Lyon and Healy pedal harp during the pandemic. With modern harp effects and textures, her songs sit somewhere between the folk stylings of Joan Baez, the musical innovation of Joni, and the minimalism of Philip Glass.
