Join us at the River Room to celebrate the release of local songwriter Rachael Kilgour’s third album, Rabbit in the Road. The record takes an intimate and often painful look at a failed marriage and the loss of family. Kilgour’s writing and delivery cut deep, with resolute simplicity. Sorrow, rage, resilience and compassion exist side by side within a series of honest and memorable melodies. The collection of work stands tall on a foundation of vulnerability and opens the door to moments of profound connection.

The 2015 grand prize winner of the esteemed international NewSong Music Performance & Songwriting Competition, Kilgour has been featured at NYC’s Lincoln Center and by the ASCAP Music Cafe at the Sundance Film Festival. She was also a finalist in the 2015 Telluride Troubadour Contest. A versatile performer, Kilgour has shared stages with the likes of indie artists Haley Bonar & Jeremy Messersmith as well as folk legends Greg Brown, Cheryl Wheeler & Catie Curtis.

ADVANCE TICKET SALES END Saturday April 8th, 2016 AT 1PM NOON. Please check in with Will-Call at the River Room Hallway entrance the night of the show – your name will be on a list. Have the receipt issued to you as a backup of proof of purchase (this can be on your phone or printed). Should the event sell out, you can arrive at the venue and be put on a waitlist. We do not take call-ins for the waitlist – you must be present. We will assess the room capacity after the show begins – ENTRANCE IS NOT GUARANTEED.

The River Room is adjacent to the Aster Cafe. Parking available in the St. Anthony Falls ramp on 2nd St. & 2nd Ave, with an underground tunnel connected. Meters on and around 2nd St. & 2nd Ave are free after 6pm. Please note meters on Main St. are in affect until 12AM Midnight daily.

KITCHEN CLOSES AT 10PM – the cover charge in the Cafe will be in affect should you like to join us in our Cafe post River Room show.
