After releasing his self titled debut full length record in April 2020, Samuel J. DuBois stepped away from performing live to focus on his health and to reflect on things both personal and otherwise.

Having grown up in a small rural town, and being more introverted in nature, DuBois always turned to music and writing to make his voice or thoughts heard. Whether it was listening to music that he felt defined a mood or feeling, or playing music to anyone who would listen, DuBois made it a major part of his life, no matter who he disagreed with his passion for writing and performing and obsession for immersing himself in all things music.

Now that live music is returning to a somewhat normal and consistent part of life, DuBois is not only starting fresh with a reinvigorated drive and passion, but with new music to be released in the spring of 2023 that is more stripped down, acoustic, and more expressive than before his life as a musician was put on hold for nearly two years.

With a smooth and warm voice along with a melodic, and articulate guitar style, whether finger-picked or flat-picked, Samuel J. DuBois invokes a style and sound similar to the likes of Amos Lee, James Taylor, John Denver, and Jackson Browne.

An old soul trying to make his way through a world that is always changing, and never stops providing things, events, and encounters to reflect on and write about, no matter what barriers lie ahead along the way.
