An evening of great harmony and warm songs from two stellar trios. First up – Sweet Rhubarb brings an eclectic mix of songs with exquisite vocal harmonies which are always fun, warm, engaging, and inspiring; the St. Paul trio has been delighting local and regional audiences since 2009. Personnel are Burna Krugler, Ann Fate, and Priscilla Thomas. The second set features Barrel Flash, a Minneapolis/St. Paul-based trio coming out of the folk traditions of the US, UK, and Ireland. They combine their many distinct influences into an honest and vibrant sound all their own. Barrel Flash is Julia Brown, Ross Johnson, and (yes again!) Priscilla Thomas.

With inspiration and influences from folk, pop, country, bluegrass, and “this ‘n’ that,” Sweet Rhubarb brings an eclectic mix of songs written by others and well-crafted originals. Exquisite vocal harmonies are a hallmark of their performances, which are always fun, warm, engaging, and inspiring. Personnel include Burna Krugler (vocals, guitar, bass, and occasional banjo), Ann Fate (vocals, guitar, banjo, harmonica and percussion), and Priscilla Thomas (vocals, bass, and guitar). Barrel Flash is a Minneapolis-St. Paul based trio influenced by the folk/pop traditions of the US, UK and Ireland. Julia Brown, Priscilla Thomas and Ross Johnson met in the vibrant taproom/club scene in the Twin Cities. With each member bringing a different bouquet of musical influences, the trio applies their unique stylings to original work and new interpretations of what we consider classics, creating an honest and distinctive sound of our own.
