The Blacksmith’s Daughters, featuring both Annella Platta and Julida Alter on vocals and piano, are a Minneapolis-based Americana /folk-rock band that incorporates classical instrumentation into modern song writing. Rocking guitar intertwined with harp-like ukulele and lush string parts perfectly support the intricate melodies and tight harmonies that only sisters who grew up singing together could achieve.

After their creative achievement of their EP Truth, The BSDare releasing their second album, Seasons Turn. This eclectic collection features the sisters’ iron-clad musicians and also husbands, guitarist Sean Alter, and multi-instrumentalist, Brent Platta. A third married couple in the band, close enough to be family, are Jeremy and Krista Swider playing violin and viola (Sonorous Strings). The new album transports the listener through vivid story telling with inspirational lyrics and heart-melting love songs.
