Stanley formed Stanley Kipper Project as a trio last year, with bass player Tommy Peterson and guitarist Andrew Wozniak or B3/pianist Lightnin’ Joe Peterson, depending on availability.

Drummer, singer and songwriter Stan Kipper is the leader of New Primitives, an award-winning
band that has successfully played around the five-state area for a number of years. Andrew and
Joe are members of New Primitives, and Tommy was a former member.

In forming the Project, Stan wanted to experiment working in more intimate venues with less
Players. Stan’s musical background spans six decades. He has played and/or toured with Jay
Ferguson, Joe Walsh, The Bee Gees, Little Richard, Randy Meisner, Minnie Riperton, Andrew
Gold, Karla Bonoff, Gypsy and Bill Withers. The hits these artists made influenced Stan in
making his own music, and in forming his bands One World, New Primitives, and Stanley Kipper
Project.

Lightnin’ Joe Peterson is a singer/songwriter strongly rooted in the tradition of James Taylor, Randy Newman, and Joni Mitchell. He made his living as an internationally touring multi-instrumentalist for over 15 years, and is currently based in Milaca, MN, where he runs a small family farm.
