Turn Turn Turn began its life on the stage at the Aster playing a few residencies in 2018. They cut their teeth on three part harmony covers and eventually developed their own sound, releasing two albums of originals that traveled into psychedelic country, soul and rock territory. They are returning to the Aster in January 2024 for a two night stand, before the venue moves to bigger digs, playing as the trio for one night (1/12) and bringing the band to join them on night two (1/13). The trio are currently recording their third record and they will unfurl a few new songs from their upcoming record, as well as playing their favorite covers and originals from their first two records. Ava Levy started performing with her dad and sister when she was about seven years old in their family band, Bunnyclogs. Her time in the Minneapolis-based fem punk group, Sapphire, ushered in a new love of songwriting and performing. She is influenced by a wide variety of indie-rock, punk, and pop sounds. Ava now is playing solo, often with a backing band, around the twin cities and has released her first solo single, ‘not ur clown’.
